Robust precision potentiometer
The 46 series is specially designed for applications that require high currents and a high load capacity. With a rated load capacity of up to 10 W (for the 20-turn version) and the ability to measure up to 30 turns (up to 10800°, on request), this potentiometer is ideal for industrial control systems, powerful machines and other high-current applications.
Another option is the single-wire version, which is available on request for resistance values from 0.5 to 20 ohms. Thanks to the continuous wire path, this variant enables an almost infinite signal without discrete steps or jumps. This allows extremely fine position measurements and is particularly suitable for applications that require the highest precision, such as in metrology or precision mechanics.
Limit switches (optional) can be configured to limit rotary movements either outside or inside the electrically effective angle of rotation:
- Circumscription (standard): Limit switches are activated outside the electrically effective angle of rotation (360° × n)
- Inscription type (option): Limit switches are activated within the electrically effective angle of rotation (360° × n) to precisely limit signal plateaus
Limitations are available in different variants:
- E1: Limitation in the CCW direction
- E2: Limitation in the CW direction
- EE: Limitation in both directions
Thanks to the robust design with a 46 mm aluminium/plastic housing and a service life of 2 million revolutions (20 turns), the 46 series offers reliable performance even under demanding conditions. The optional shaft seal extends the range of applications in harsh environments.

- Multiturn: Available in 3, 5, 10, 15 and 20 turns (up to 25 and 30 turns on request, up to 10800°)
- Tandem version: For redundant signal output
- Limit switch: Configurable inside or outside the electrically effective range

- Resistance values: 10 Ohm to 500 kOhm
