Precise encoder for industrial applications
The MOL30 series is a high-quality optical incremental encoder that is designed for a long lifetime with its 30 mm metal housing and mechanically stable ball bearings. Thanks to the wide range of electrical output options, it can be used flexibly and is particularly suitable for industrial applications that require high actuating speeds, increased shaft loads and a long lifetime with compact housing dimensions.
With a resolution of up to 3000 imp/rev, the MOL30 enables precise position determination. The high cut-off frequency of up to 300 kHz ensures that even fast movements are reliably detected.
Signals are transmitted via the following output options:
- Open collector (NPN): Enables a customisable signal voltage through external pull-up resistors and can operate various controls. The output can also perform simple switching functions directly
- Voltage output (NPN): Direct connection to analogue circuits, works with fixed voltage levels
- Push-pull: Active high and low signals for fast signal changes and direct control inputs
- Line driver: Differential signal transmission for interference-free data transmission over longer cable runs
The axial connection via a 2 m round cable enables simple integration. Shorter cable variants with connectors or longer lengths are optionally available according to customer requirements. The maximum speed is up to 5000 rpm, whereby the usable number of pulses is limited by the cut-off frequency of 300 kHz.

- Operating voltage: 5 VDC or 12-24 VDC
