Optical incremental encoder SPM

The SPM optical incremental encoders are ideal for applications requiring high durability or high quality feel for manual input.

The SPM optical incremental encoders are characterized by their reliability and long life of more than 100 million shaft movements. The sensor, with a Ø6 mm or Ø6.35 mm (1/4") shaft, is mounted by means of a central thread. Depending on the version, a resolution of 100...1024 ppr (360°) is available as a TTL output signal. Other resolutions and line driver outputs are available on request. The incremental encoder measures angles without contact and has a high quality metal sleeve bearing. The SPM is available with two torque options. The high torque is particularly suitable for precise manual input of values (as a panel encoder) and provides a high quality feel. For pure angle sensing applications (no manual input), the low torque option NT is available. A convenient selection of standard electrical interfaces, such as solder/plug-in contacts (TTL), optional connector with lock, complete the profile.
