Product description: Optoelectronic Manual Encoder MRL
Manual adjuster for precise manual inputs
The MRL series is a compact optical rotary encoder that has been specially developed for manual inputs in control systems and operating units.
The plastic shaft offers the following advantages in addition to cost efficiency:
✔ Electrical isolation, minimising interference in sensitive systems
✔ Low thermal conductivity, which enables thermal decoupling between the environment and the sensor
✔ Lightweight design, which reduces the overall weight of the system
Depending on the variant, the rotary encoder is available with or without detent to enable haptic feedback during rotary movements or to support stepless adjustment. With a resolution of up to 25 imp/rev, the MRL offers reliable incremental output via 2 channels (A, B). The signal is transmitted via a CMOS output stage, which ensures stable signal processing.
Several connection options are available for optimum integration:
- Standard solder lugs for direct wiring
- Solder pins to the front for PCB mounting
- Ribbon cable (150 mm) for easy plug-in connection
Mechanical fastening is via bushing mounting with an M9 hexagon nut, which is included in the scope of delivery together with a washer and toothed lock washer. The MRL is optionally available with a shaft seal (IP65) for environments with increased protection requirements.
Options:
- Number of pulses: 20 or 25 pulses/rev
- Detent: With or without detent
- Shaft sealing: Standard IP40 or optional IP65
- Electrical connection: Solder eyes, solder pins to the front or ribbon cable (150 mm)
