High-quality Hall encoder with selectable redundancy for safety-critical applications
The HSM22S series is a compact and robust Hall-effect encoder that enables 360° measurement with wear-free sensor technology.
The absolute encoder is available in three electronics versions:
- Standard version (non-redundant)
- Redundant electronics (not galvanically isolated) - with common power supply and earth
- Redundant electronics (galvanically isolated) - with separate power supplies and earths
The ratiometric output signal scales with the operating voltage (5 V, 12 V or 24 V), allowing the sensor to be integrated into different system environments. Thanks to its compact design with a housing depth of just 13.1 mm, the HSM22S is ideal as a replacement for potentiometers, especially when a durable, wear-free solution is required. With an operating temperature range of -40 °C to +105 °C and a degree of protection of IP65, the sensor is also suitable for demanding environments.
Options:
- Electrically effective angle of rotation: 360° as standard, optional user-defined angle of rotation
- Operating voltage: 5 V, 12 V or 24 V DC
- Signal direction of rotation: CW (clockwise) or CCW (anti-clockwise)
- Electrical connection: Single wires (standard: 180 mm, other lengths optional)
