They are the top of the line of MEGATRON's encoder range: The new magnetic HTx36E encoders in Ø36 mm metal housings meet the highest demands for precision and lifetime. In the version with energy harvesting technology, the encoders count the number of revolutions even if the power supply fails. MEGATRON offers the encoders as incremental encoders or as absolute encoders with CAN-Bus / SSI interface.
The signal processing of the HTx36E encoders is digital with maximum precision and is based on magnetic, gradient-based measured value recording. This makes the modern sensor technology largely immune to electromagnetic influences and temperature fluctuations. As absolute encoders, the encoders offer up to 16 bit single-turn resolution and 43 bit multi-turn resolution. In the incremental encoder version, the customer can set the incremental step size from 1 to 16384 ppr at the factory and optionally set the index pulse to the desired position.
The digital communication interfaces CANopen, SAE J1939 and SSI ensure reliable digital transmission of the measured values. In addition, they guarantee the smooth integration and monitoring of the encoder in the application. In the version with battery- and gearless energy harvesting technology, the encoders record the number of revolutions made even in a de-energized state.
HTx36E encoders are also suitable for highly dynamic and fast processes thanks to their robust metal housing. Their double ball-bearing solid or hollow shaft (IP65) allows a max. actuation speed of 12,000 rpm and withstands high axial or radial axis loads. The electrical connection of the HTx36E encoders is made via M12 connectors with axial or radial cable outlet or via a shielded signal cable (2 m, metal cable glands) permanently connected to the encoder. All steels used are stainless. HTx36E encoders are manufactured in Germany and cover a very wide range of applications thanks to the variety of options.
